Bridal Portraits - Yay or Nay?

The question for brides is whether or not they should have bridal portraits taken before the big day. When you google the question, there are many answers. But one main one is that bridal portraits are a chance to see everything come together. The dress, the makeup, the hair and to see how it translates in photos. It allows the bride to make any necessary changes before the special day. Because, let’s face it, we all want to look prefect for that one day.

This gorgeous bride wanted her bridal portraits to be moody with air of mystery. A few hours was spent with the bride and a team of amazing vendors to achieve her vision. Since this bride was due to marry at Las Velas in Houston Texas, the venue allowed the future bride access for her bridal shoot.

With the wonderful work of Mary Ann Blooms the vintage mirror above the fire place was adorned with blood red roses, protea, wild fern and foliage. Creeping its way up a stairwell that escalated into darkness. A kind of savage beauty.
